Statewide Water NewsThis month, the EPA awarded the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) $2.5 million for a number of projects to improve water quality across the state. The grant is designed to address nonpoint-source pollution, or water pollution whose origin is unknown.Pollution control upstream is a benefit to vulnerable wildlife and has economic benefits, including reducing the amount of treatment needed to make water drinkable.
