Austin Area Reconciling Communities

Reconciling Ministries Network (RMN) is a growing movement of United Methodist individuals, congregations, campus ministries, and other groups working for the full participation of all people in The United Methodist Church.

RMN logoReconciling Ministries Network mobilizes United Methodists of all sexual orientations and gender identities to transform our Church and world into the full expression of Christ’s inclusive love.

In the Austin/San Antonio area, there are 9 congregations that have affiliated with the Reconciling Ministries Network: 6 in Austin, 1 in San Antonio, and 2 in Round Rock (not in Rio Texas conference).  In addition, there are many Sunday School classes and the Saint John’s United Methodist Women unit that have affiliated and are called Reconciling Communities. You are invited to participate in the life of these communities and congregations.  See the list and addresses of these groups at: https://rmnetwork.org/find/

Currently at DSUMC in Dripping Springs.

I apologize for it taking so long to respond to this question. The end of the year, cancer treatments, and COVID are my excuses. Hopefully, you have found the answer in the meantime. The Austin-area Reconciling churches are First UMC, University UMC, Trinity Church, St. Luke UMC, Saint John’s UMC, and Westlake UMC. There are Sunday School Classes at many of the churches, including Oak Hill UMC which would be closest to you. Follow this link to find the most current information: https://rmnetwork.org/find-a-reconciling-community/. Thanks. Janice
